Emergency Response

The Heavy rain fall in southern areas of Pakistan caused huge floods several parts of Pakistan which leaves mega destructions in Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan Provinces. An estimated 8.2 million population were affected in 2010 and 6.2 million populations have been affected. The affected population left their home and moved towards save places. Majority of IDPs were shifted from Sindh to place their habitats in Nasiabad, Sibi, Bolan and Quetta at road side or government declared IDP camps.
The government has raised appealing voice for immediate relief for displaced people.

Women Development & Community Organization WDCO Balochistan has immediately started emergency relief process and providing cooked food, medical facilities through medical camps. WDCO has diverted its teams for rapid assessment of the areas for collecting actual damages of the area.
WDCO has parallel started clean drinking water through tinkers on with the support of UNICEF in flood 210 and UNHABITAT in flood 2012. WDCO has installed water purification plants at PHED channels of Nasirabad and Jaffarabad which were used for fetching the water in tanks and distributed among the flood affected community.

Women Development & Community has responded earthquake emergency in November 2013 at Awaran District of Balochistan where hundreds of innocent lives were died, thousands houses were destroyed and people were interred towards Stone Age. WDCO Balochistan has raised its voice for help and started immediate flood relief to destroyed people. Muslim Charity UK has extended its support in and provided life saving health & hygiene kits for distributing among the destroyed people.
